DROP the habit of using plastic water bottles!
DROP is a youth led community action project that aims to raise awareness about the environmental impact of water bottles. This group was started as a partnership between two high schools in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. They aim to ban the sale and distribution of plastic water bottles in municipal buildings in the town of Lunenburg and are planning awareness activities about water and water bottles for the local area.

Recent events lead by this group include;
- Awareness building activities on World water day and assistance with the screening of FLOW (a documentary about water)
- Campaign to ban the sale and distribution of disposable water bottles in municipal building in the Town of Lunenburg. (see the Progress Enterprise article)
- Earth Day workshops for grade 1 to 5 students
- Presentation at the Lunenburg Town Council meeting
- Presentation at local water issues event
- Lunch and learn presentations for interested local groups
